Apple achète CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System)

Le système d’impression open source Unix, CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) utilisé dans de nombre Unix, a été acheté par la société Apple Inc le 11 de ce mois (11 juillet 2007), comme on peut le lire sur le site de son concepteur Michael R Sweet:

In February of 2007, Apple Inc. acquired ownership the CUPS source code and hired me (Michael R Sweet), the creator of CUPS. CUPS will still be released under the existing GPL2/LGPL2 licensing terms, and I will continue to develop and support CUPS at Apple.”
